The works of the Frac des Pays de la Loire collection, gathered around this notion of “stories”, draw their inspiration from personal or collective mythologies, from tales and legends reported by literature, cinema, comics or the video game.

We then come across pell-mell Count Dracula, the hero of the misty city of Silent Hill, a little monkey emerging from the night or the enhanced face of Michelangelo’s mythical David. Benoit Platéus borrows the title of a manga, Anna Gaskell invents a story with nine voices, when Sophie Calle relativizes her love breakup by recounting other dramas… the plastic universes rub shoulders with scriptwriting languages or are organized into narrative sequences, blur the tracks in reality and fiction, take shape in painting, video or book and are part of a History as much as they constantly redefine its lines.

Project initiated and developed in partnership with Céline Pierreisnard, visual arts teacher, and Yannick Allexant, librarian teacher.

Exhibition presented in the gallery of the school registered in the network of galleries for educational purposes InSitu.
