A documentary collection specializing in contemporary art and accessible to all…
With more than 12,000 titles, the documentation of the Frac in Carquefou brings together files and publications on the artists in the collection of the Frac.
More generally, it includes a large number of exhibition catalogs, artists’ books and publications dedicated to contemporary art as well as a collection of specialized journals.
The editions of the Frac des Pays de la Loire, more than a hundred books to date, are an extension of its exhibitions by engaging in a work of reflection and memory. They remain an essential tool that fits over time to publicize the scope of its activity. Catalogs are promotional tools for both artists and the Frac. They allow the influence of its work on a national and international levels.
The documentation is also developing awareness-raising work by proposing mediation actions on artists’ books, in particular for school audiences.
