SI LOIN SI PROCHE

SI LOIN SI PROCHE is a performance developed specifically for the new Frac branch in Nantes.

This performance unfolds, moves, recycles and reformats the materials that make up the solo CORPUS, created in March 2020 by artist Aline Landreau. It will be part of the La Ruta Natural exhibition space by Rinus Van de Velde.

The successive shifts of the moving body and the transformation of raw materials – skins, leaves, lianas, shells – come to probe our sensitive relationship with the familiar and the unknown. The dimensions of distance and intimacy are thus questioned, in a minimalist and immersive environment.
Games of masks, concealment and transformation are at work, thwarting questions of identity and assignments, of gender, nature, culture, etc.
