Étoiles distantes, exhibitions and events route designed and initiated by the Frac des Pays de le Loire with the complicity of partners in the Region.

Founding member of the Wonder / Fortin collective (a self-managed space hosting artist workshops, based in Clichy), former Compagnon du Devoir specializing in climatic engineering, François Dufeil creates what he calls “sculpture-tools”. Diverting materials (such as gas cylinders or fire extinguishers) within technical assemblies, the artist extends the utilitarian dimension of these objects by imagining other possible uses for them. From this openness to new availabilities, and in a logic close to hacking, he collaborates with different people (cooks, musicians…), in his work as in his commitments, to build alternatives.
