La machine : join the dance!
Nostalgic or passionate about the 80s? In the 21st century, an algorithm takes over the iconic arcade terminal to offer you choreographies to reproduce facing THE MACHINE. The immersive terminal contains multiple aesthetics inspired by classical, post-modern or even contemporary dances. If you keep up with THE MACHINE, maybe you won’t leave empty-handed!
A creative and fun object, THE MACHINE allows everyone to discover contemporary dance and choreographic culture, through short excerpts from works by famous choreographers of the 20th and 21st centuries. It contains 14 excerpts from choreographic works by 14 different choreographers. THE MACHINE is also an interactive exhibition (panels and magnets) around the discovery of Laban kinetography. Because discovering dance is also and above all seeing it, THE MACHINE includes a participatory dance performance choreographed by Valeria Giuga, written by Anne-James Chaton and set to music by Andy Moor. In this project, Valeria Giuga joined forces with her collaborator Lise Daynac, visual artist Claire Pollet, sound poet Anne-James Chaton and musicians Andy Moor and Florent Mery.
