The image factory

In partnership with the Frac des Pays de la Loire, the artist Guillaume Mazauric is invited to lead a workshop with students from a Terminale class with a visual arts option.

Through a plurality of classical and contemporary approaches, Guillaume Mazauric introduces students to the image. Whether professional, amateur, photographic or from meme culture, students are invited to deconstruct it while grasping its complexities. Over 8 sessions, the artist shares the questions that irrigate his practice and offers students the opportunity to discover techniques and references in order to then apply them to personal issues. Shapes and spaces, light and colors, composition and framing, digital and manual experiments, the image becomes a material to work with. Throughout the workshop, the students will have to think and build a final and narrative image concretizing the challenges of the workshop.
