For the year 2021-2022, the traveling exhibition that circulates in the colleges of Loire-Atlantique brings together works from the collection of the Frac des Pays de la Loire under the title Plus vrai que nature (“More real than nature”).

From the small fragments of landscapes by Arnaud Claass to the immensity of the elements captured in Rosario Lopez’s photographs, the photographic medium allows not only to reproduce the visible but also, thanks to the eye of the viewer, to produce fragmented, oriented and chosen visions of nature. From the image to its representation, the gaps are widened or corrected, as in the realistic drawings after photographs of Camille Girard and Paul Brunet, or the casts of organic matter of Herlyng Ferla… What then remains of reality? Are the manufactured images, sometimes truer than life, still a reflection of it?

This project was initiated and developed in partnership with Ms. Sandrine Graux Reitter, art teacher.

Exhibition presented in the gallery of the college registered in the network of galleries with educational vocation InSitu.
