This card game is published following the exhibition Emmanuel Pereire presented by Thomas Huber, from March 18 to May 28, 2017 and Emmanuel Pereire, Inventory of small varied mixtures from July 1 to October 15, 2017 at the Frac des Pays de la Loire in Carquefou .
The discovery of the work of Emmanuel Pereire by the artist Thomas Huber made it possible to show all the complexity of his pictorial universe without forgetting the part of writing in the development of a paradoxical and abundant thought.
To best express all the richness and the particularity of this work, Thomas Huber has favored an edition in the form of a set of 80 cards close to the esoteric universe of the Tarot. Fragmented visions of the paintings and drawings on display are found associated with aphorisms taken from the Book of Angels (1976), a kind of notebooks in which the artist had recorded more than 1000 quotes on angels. Each card thus bears the number of each aphorism as it is listed in the book.
The rule of the game is simple. The player can choose at any time and in the way he wishes a card in the whole game and give free rein to his imagination carried by the pictorial vision and the literary universe of Emmanuel Pereire.
