Visual arts & dance program

As part of the PEAC program of the city of Nantes, the Nantes CCN (National Choreographic Center) and the Frac have joined forces to offer a bridge program between two fields of contemporary creation: visual arts and dance. The body, at the heart of the project, will be both the subject of the visits and the focus of the interactions offered during classroom sessions and at the Frac des Pays de la Loire.

From October 25, 2024, to January 12, 2025, the Frac will present an exhibition that gathers works from its collection centered around themes of the body, makeup, costumes, and adornments. Lipstick and eyeshadow become colorful pigments, sculptures and assemblages evoke bodies in motion… The exhibition, titled *On Your Lips*, showcases a variety of works (photographs, sculptures, textile pieces, installations, videos…).

The project is spread across three sessions: a danced visit of the *On Your Lips* exhibition at the Frac site in Nantes, a dance workshop at the school, and a presentation of artworks in the classroom. The students are guided by Lise Fassier, a dancer and performer dedicated to supporting artistic and cultural practices at the CCN of Nantes.
